Course description

This Manicure course will teach you basic manicuring techniques including filing, buffing and polishing a client’s natural nail. During the course you will also learn how you can adapt your manicure treatment and style to suit many different types of client.

Upon successful application, students will receive a course manual which they can refer back to. The theory modules are completed through distance learning with full support available. The course covers the consultation, contra-indications, technique and aftercare needed to perform a manicure treatment and is written following the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for beauty, nails and holistic therapy treatments.

The remaining module consists of a day of practical training and examination which is to be completed in our luxury training academy. A manicure is demonstrated by the tutor. Trainees will be expected to carry out a manicure on each other or on a model with support and guidance from the tutor. Upon completion of the training you will receive a Beauty Guild GTi Award and ACTA Diploma, a certificate recognised by the main beauty insurance bodies.

Requirements

• An underpinning knowledge test will be issued alongside the training manual, a week prior to the course. This must be completed at least 2 days before the course commences.
